The association deals with proposal writing related to renewable energy. It operates the Green Energy Centre in Nagykanizsa, where further organisations could move in, as well as it deals with research and development. They operate a showroom and organises workshops and conferences. The tasks of the association are the sustainable rural development, regional development and the related dissemination of knowledge. It undertakes research and development tasks on the field of renewable energetics, to which related it develops a unique complex of renewable energy laboratory in the country. Main profile is the investments in biogas facilities. Organic matter for biogas absence of air (anaerobic) degradation of the resulting gas mixture, which contains about 50-70% methane. Additional ingredients: 30-40% carbon dioxide, and water vapor (in small amounts) of hydrogen sulphide. The methane-producing microbes in the moist environment in the absence of air is appropriate. Then the organic material is broken down during életfolyamataik and biogas formed. The natural formation of biogas examples: marsh gas, Flooded rice fields biogas, landfill gas produced at the landfill site, ruminants, termites, whales digestive system of biogas, rothasztóban biogas produced from sewage sludge. Biogas formation of three phases. In the first step, the organic material are proteins, fats and carbohydrates simpler compounds (amino acids, fatty acids, sugars) are broken down. In the second stage of the acetogenic bacteria as a result of the work of these materials organic acids (acetic acid, propionic acid, butyric acid), hydrogen and traces of lower alcohols, aldehydes are formed. In the third stage, the methane-producing microorganisms to the large group of organic acids, methane, carbon dioxide and water, to break down. The methanogens same time another group of the resultant carbon dioxide a part of the hydrogen produced by using acetogének converted to methane. The biogas plant, these steps are not separated from each other, both are present, this is the reason for the biogas plant biotechnology delicate balance.
