4. Newsletter of Fostering Economic Development of the City of Osijek and County of Zala Through Trade Development and Investment Promotion – with a Special Focus on Renewable Energy and Environment Sector (FEDREE), HUHR/1001/2.1.1/0006 project

 

This is the fourth and last newsletter of FEDREE project with the amount of approximately 200.000 EUR which project is supported under the Hungary-Croatia IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme 2007-2013 within the second call. This fourth newsletter introduces the trainings, matchmakings and final conference of the project partners in August.

 

Bilingual matchmaking in Osijek on the field of renewable energies (organized by City of Osijek)

The project partner of FEDREE, City of Osijek held on its bilingual matchmaking on 29.08.2012 in Osijek.

The host, City of Osijek held on its matchmaking event in Osijek where the delegates of Croatian and Hungarian entrepreneurs and NGO-s on the field of renewable energies could know each other, change their experiences and meet the best practices. First, because of the long trip they had lunch and after lunch, there was the opportunity to know each other and change the experiences. After that, the delegates could visit the biogas plant of Osijek and they could know the process of biogas production, technology and the agricultural activities which give the base for the biogas plant. This matchmaking was successful and useful for the participants.

 

 

“How can be successful the South-Transdanubian environment sector?” workshop series (organized by Européer Foundation)

 

The Européer Foundation held on its workshop series in August.  The first workshop was in Nagykanizsa on 28.08.2012, and the second one was in Pécs on 30.08.2012 with the title “How can be successful the South-Transdanubian environment sector?” They held on the workshops with the same schedule.

First, Mr Zoltán Jamniczky, the president of Européer Foundation gave a short presentation about the current statement of the environment sector in Zala County which based on their study with the title “Analysis of the economy and business environment in Zala County of Hungary with specific emphasis on the renewable energy and environment sectors”.  Zala County has very good opportunity to establish energy plants on the field of renewable energies. Its geography and infrastructure gives Zala a good base to find new investors and boost its economy.

After that, Mr Csaba Vér, the president of Dél-dunántúli Környezetipari Klaszter (South-Transdanubian Environment Cluster) showed his cluster and the cluster’s operation, organisational structure, members. He spoke about the cooperation and innovations between the members and their projects in which they are project partners. He spoke about the opportunity and necessity of innovation on the field of environment sector for the cross border entrepreneurs and NGO-s.

 

The closing conference and press conference of project FEDREE (organised by Association for Sustainable Development)

 

The Association for Sustainable Development held on the bilingual closing conference of project FEDREE which event was opened to the press. The conference was in Green Energy Centre, Nagykanizsa on 29.08.2012.

First, Dr Ramón Ivelics, the project manager of FEDREE from the association welcomed the guests and opened the conference. After that, Mr Zvonimir Prgomet from City of Osijek gave a presentation and showed the whole project as the Lead Beneficiary of FEDREE and the activities of the City’s project part. Dr Ramón Ivelics showed the activities of the association for the guests, especially the renewable energy database and the workshops and study trips which was organised by Association for Sustainable Development. The last performer was Mr Zoltán Jamniczky, the president of Européer Foundation who showed the activities of the foundation in the project FEDREE and gave a presentation about the new projects of the project partners. The closing conference was closed with a buffet lunch.
