2. Newsletter of Fostering Economic Development of the City of Osijek and County of Zala Through Trade Development and Investment Promotion – with a Special Focus on Renewable Energy and Environment Sector  (FEDREE), HUHR/1001/2.1.1/0006 project

 

This is the second newsletter of FEDREE project with the amount of approximately 200.000 EUR which project is supported under the Hungary-Croatia IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme 2007-2013 within the second call. This second newsletter introduces the workshops of the partners.

 

 

Workshop in the BIOS, Osijek

The Lead Beneficiary of FEDREE, City of Osijek held on its first workshop on 29.11.2011 at 11.00 a.m. in Osijek, in the Conference room of BIOS, J.J. Strossmayera 341.

Mr. Zvonimir Prgomet B.Sc. (Iur.), who is the Head of the Department of Economy, City of Osijek has given the welcome greetings to the audience. After that, Mrs. Vlatka Kalafatić, A.M.E.S., project manager for the Project FEDREE, who also works for Department of Economy, City of Osijek has introduced the Hungarian-Croatian project.

The next lecturers wanted to show the advantages of the renewable energies. First, Miss Tihana Pekanov, B.Sc. ( Ing.) has given presentation about the Potential investments in the renewable energy resources in the city of Osijek. Mr. Azur Šačiragić, MBA, who is the President of the Association EU Center Zagreb has introduced the opportunity of Project financing. And finally, Mrs. Ana Pavičić Kaselj, who is works for Institut for International Relations Zagreb, has shown the Enterpreunal zones – potentials for green development of the city.

 

Workshop in the Green Energy Centre, Nagykanizsa

The Association for Sustainable Development held on its first workshop on 8 February, 2012, at 10.00 a.m. in Nagykanizsa, in the Green Energy Centre, 106/A Bajcsy-Zsilinszky street.

This workshop aimed to show to the guests the Association and the opportunity of biogas plant in the CBC area. Because of the awful weather, they had to cancel the visit of the pellet plant in Belezna. The registration and welcome greetings were in the Centre. The most of the guests were from the Faculty of Agriculture in Osijek, J. J Strossmayer University of Osijek, Croatia.

In the first section Eva Gredics, the project coordinator of the project FEDREE has shown the Association, which has many cross-border projects. After that, Dr. Ing. Jochen Tilger, the representative of NaWaro AG., Germany has given them a very interested and detailed presentation about the biogas and biogas plant opportunity, advantages in the CBC region and showed them the operation of a biogas plant. With the end of the presentations, there was the opportunity that the guests and the lecturers could discuss the renewable energy technologies opportunities and they could ask questions. 

This conversation was divided with the lunch at Régimozi Restaurant in the centre of Nagykanizsa. Before the lunch, the guests could visit the Green Energy Centre where the heating are ensured by pellet boilers and there are some organisations which operate on the field of renewable energy. After lunch, the Croatian guests went home and the Hungarian guests and lecturers could continue the discussion of the biogas plant opportunities. The workshop was closed at 17.00 p.m.
